Studio

Studio YogaPop offers two traditional systems of yoga, Sivananda hatha and Ashtanga vinyasa yoga.

Teacher Marko Popović was fine tuning his hatha yoga practice at Sivananda Yoga Ashram, where he first received the "Yoga Siromani" title (Teacher of Yoga), then the title of “Yoga Acharya" (Master of Yoga), which is the highest degree of recognition in today’s official yoga education, and finally the title of "Yoga Bhaskara", after his fifth trip to the ashram.

He is perfecting his ashtanga yoga practice by studying under the first and the most well known students of K. Pattabhi Jois (the founder of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga): Manju Jois, David Williams, Nancy Gilgoff, David Swenson, and from their disciples Andrea Lutz from Berlin and Jaroslav Pavek from Bratislava, who both teach ashtanga yoga in its original old-school tradition (before the influence of the western world on yoga). Over the years he practiced with many big names of ashtanga yoga, such as Chuck Miller, Kino MacGregor, Vijay Kumar, Bryan Kest (creator of Power yoga), Atsuro Chiba and others. He also practiced at Tim Miller's in Encinitas, California, which is the birthplace of ashtanga yoga in USA, where ashtanga was brought from India in the 70s of the last century.

Marko regularly visits his ashtanga yoga teachers and follows the most prominent yoga teachers throughout the world.
